V. Rocket International
Founded in 1964 in their Nottingham living room by Dougie and Imogen Robinson, who came from Spanish Town, Jamaica. In 1987 it became the first UK sound to ship its whole set to Jamaica for a three-month tour. Now run by Valerie "Lady V" Robinson and Paul "Parliament" Hall; subject of the film A Sound System Dynasty.
