Four Aces Club, Dalston
The Four Aces in Dalston was one of London's most important reggae venues. Count Shelly was a big draw there, and Admiral Ken played it in the 1970s. Its sound clashes, where rival crews played against each other until the crowd picked a winner, made reputations. The London Museum holds Dennis Morris's 1973 photograph of the Four Aces with Count Shelly's sound.
