Lloyd "Musclehead" Francis
Lloyd "Musclehead" Francis co-founded Saxon Studio International with Dennis Rowe in Lewisham in 1976, part of the first generation of Black British youth to start their own sounds. He learned from his family's house parties: "we used to have a Blue Spot 'gram what really sounded powerful." Saxon went on to launch the fast-chat MC style and became the first UK sound to win the World Clash in 1994.
